Chapter VIII

Resting on burdened shoulders haunts the shadow of a dream.
Never able to see beyond the pale shade laid in front of me.
Constant questioning of the life laid out before me.

Lost in the images:
Floating vessels, meandering with no purpose, no direction;
a conditioned disregard for any but the self.

But who am I?
Lost soul screaming for fresh breath of life.

Final notion:
Thought may pervade reality.
Release mindset of futility.
Negate the thoughts unseen
as I emerge from deep sleep.

Staring straight into the face of humanity,
Stand free to make the claim:
Reign in the doom,
Shed ethereal light,
I’ll do whatever I decide.

The switch it will be swift, I know they’re not like me.
My world is not like theirs and I know it will never be.
Tomorrow will your sun shine to illuminate the darkness that enfolds the world today?
As we make our way through doubt and far beyond:
“I can forget, just let it sit, and live life as if a dream.”

Vision, don’t fade!
New dawn arise, revitalize: my will, my conviction, the strength to face the shadow before me.
Beyond the gate, I stand to face this evolution.
Conviction, this vision, delusion don’t fade.
